Chamber Committees

Much of the work at the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce - the business of business - would not be possible without the invaluable contributions of many Chamber members who voluntarily serve and work on our committees. Working "behind the scenes," these efforts are spearheaded by a dedicated group of business leaders intent on improving the Chamber and the business community we serve. In addition to the rewards of serving a community-minded organization, committee members are also afforded additional opportunities to network, promote their own businesses and make friends.

Ambassador’s Club
The Ambassador's Club is composed of members who act as ambassadors for the Chamber, serving as hosts for our many business card exchanges and other events. The Ambassador's Club seeks to increase membership in Montgomery County through recruitment programs. Additionally, the committee regularly makes telephone calls to Chamber members to survey their interests and concerns.
*Meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 8:00 am at the Chamber.

Governmental Affairs Committee
The Governmental Affairs Committee advises the Chamber Board and membership at large on local, state and national legislative issues, and also recommends and reviews Chamber policy. Where governmental issues transcend individual company interests, the committee lobbies the legislature to effectuate changes that support businesses and contribute to our local and state economy.

Human Resources Committee
Human Resource professionals comprise this important committee, which sponsors and develops various educational forums, seminars and workshops for all Chamber members to be kept abreast of current HR laws, regulations and practices. The committee holds HR Roundtable programs, inviting Chamber members to network with professionals and to "bring their problems" to the roundtable for resolution.

Small Business Committee
The Small Business Committee provides proactive programs, workshops and services for prospective small businesses. The committee works toward creating an environment in which small businesses can prosper by encouraging development and growth through the sharing of knowledge, resources and experience.
*Meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 am at the Chamber.

Women’s Network Group
One of the most popular programs at the Chamber is the PennSuburban Chamber Women's Network Group, organized "to support and elevate women in business." Each month, the committee works to select and feature speakers to address issues relevant to women in business. The group coordinates programs to provide Montgomery County businesswomen with an opportunity to network among influential women business leaders.
*Meets on the First Tuesday of each month at 8:00 am at the Chamber.
