Clinical Writer Positions (2) - 1.ECRI Institute is expanding its Health Technology Assessment program and seeks an Emerging Technology Clinical Writer with data analytic expertise to develop high-quality health technology assessment reports in cardiovascular, diabetes, obesity, and other clinical areas. Requirements: Cardiovascular disease and technology knowledge base. PhD + 1 year experience OR Master’s degree in healthcare or life science field + 4 years’ experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years’ experience in healthcare research setting. Nonprofit experience a plus. Excellent analytic and critical thinking skills; excellent writing and editing skills; understanding of healthcare provider and payment system/technology adoption issues; understanding of systematic review concepts, how to analyze studies, how to critically review technical/clinical content. Proficiency in a Microsoft environment (Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent presentation and speaking capabilities.
2. ECRI Institute is seeking an entry-level Clinical Writer for its Health Technology Forecast group. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for researching and writing reports about new healthcare technologies in research and development and making predictions about their potential impact on various parameters in the healthcare system. These reports are used by hospital and health plan decision makers to support their decision making about adoption and third-party coverage of new health technologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (life science or health science, clinical science, health administration, public health) and up to 2 years of experience in clinical writing regarding healthcare topics and/or emerging technologies and factors affecting their adoption into practice. Requires keen ability to sift hype from solid clinical evidence, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment. Attention to accuracy and detail are critical to success in this position.
IT Developer/Manager -Seeking a Development Manager to work with a team of developers in sharing knowledge of Microsoft technologies including: Visual Studio 2012, SQL Server 2012, Windows Server 2012, ASP.NET 4.5, C#, and SharePoint 2010, to implement application solutions that conform to the ECRI Institute Strategic Platform Architecture. Duties and Responsibilities: (1) provide the technical direction for the design, development, testing and deployment of applications, including the integration with other dependent systems; (2) work with the IT Director to assure compliant application architecture and project plans for efforts are created and managed; (3) partner with business units for each activity; and (4) jointly hold responsibility for the management of expectations, deliverables, and ultimate success of project efforts. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in computer science or a related field with at least five recent years of application development experience with Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2012, SharePoint 2010) and at least three recent years of managing staff and projects. We are seeking candidates who have the ability to act independently, reliably, and effectively to manage changing priorities for multiple simultaneous tasks.

The position is located at ECRI Institute’s headquarters in Plymouth Meeting PA. Promising opportunities exist to further grow our sales and customer base in the following non-hospital settings: Medical Device Manufacturers, Market Research organizations, GPOs. Requirements: Bachelors degree in business or life sciences with at least 10 years of successful medical device sales/consulting experience, preferably with a leading medical manufacture and/or consulting company with VP/Director/C-suite call point experience and five years of experience in medical device marketing with a complete understanding of a vendor’s marketing data requirements and decision making. Travel is approximately 70%.
B. The Regional Account Executive will be responsible for the acute care hospital sales of ECRI Institute products and services for in Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of successful medical sales/consulting experience, preferably with acute care hospital based Patient Safety, Risk and Quality departments and/or consulting company with VP/Director/C-suite call points. Candidate must have a proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales objective and managing major accounts. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must. Approximately 70% travel.
